Hello, I'm Meran.

I see opportunities to improve things everywhere, from complicated software systems to the arrangement of pot lids in my kitchen. I've always had exceptionally high standards, which can be both a strength and a spectacular way to explode a small project into a multi-week initiative.

Between my professional career and renovating a very old farmhouse, I've learned one particularly valuable lesson: just because something could be better doesn't mean changing it is worth the cost.

I'm still endlessly curious about what's possible, but thanks to years of experience, a few epic failures, and many rounds of trial-and-error, I have become more thoughtful about which possibilities deserve the time, effort, and disruption that go hand in hand with change.

I've partnered with more than 50 organizations across aviation, technology, energy, government, manufacturing, and consumer products. The work has taken many forms, but there's a common thread: understanding complicated environments, bringing people together, and finding a useful way forward.

I started at Fjord, working across industries on service design and experience strategy. At Slalom, I worked on complex enterprise programs, including projects for Boeing. Most recently, I was the first internal designer at Lexion, an AI-powered contract management platform, where I helped establish the design foundation and shape experiences for complicated legal workflows.

I've also explored entrepreneurship through BuildRogue, a circular housing initiative focused on affordable, relocatable structures using reclaimed materials. That work brought together another collection of things I love: design, construction, sustainability, and the challenge of making an ambitious idea understandable.

I've spent my career learning new domains, tools, and ways of working. I'm comfortable not knowing everything at the beginning. In fact, that's usually where things get interesting.

Away from my computer, I'm usually making something, fixing something, painting something, drawing something, learning how something works, playing music, or managing two Frenchies.

I love projects that let me use both my head and my hands, whether that's working with wood, tackling an old-house renovation, or figuring out which sail to raise given the current (and forecasted) wind conditions.

I love being on or near the water, preferably with nowhere in particular to be. And when I'm back on dry land, I'm still tracking the weather.
